When we got married, Cody's old roommate gave Cody his old washer and dryer. We moved them all the way out to Milwaukee with us and have been using them these last 4 years. We decided to sell them and just purchase brand new ones when we get out to Fresno (How exciting! The thought of owning something new!). They were getting old and the washer was pretty much crap anyways.
Something we didn't really think about when we posted the washer and dryer on Craigslist, was how FAST they would sell. The same day I posted them I got a few phone calls. There were these two big men who wanted them and said they would move them out of our basement and everything. Sweet deal! So they were sold and taken from us yesterday. Cody and I now realize that we have nothing to wash our laundry with. Either I can go to a laundromat for the next two months and spend all our money that we just earned from selling the washer and dryer or we can do it the old fashioned way, in the tub with soap and a washboard...plunge and scrub....then hang and air dry.

Also, Talmage is in the process of potty training and he pooped in his underwear today! How fun for us! We just have to laugh though....................."idiots."

oh yeah dude, coulda told you that! craigslist, at least outside of utah, is crazy. i always made caleb post his phone number because we'd get a billion calls for everything! if you want something to go quickly, sell it on craigslist! so are you gonna hit the laundry mat until you move?! or get them now and move new ones? just in time for talmage to poop in his underwear too... :)
ReplyDeleteLol at the plunge and scrub... love it! We keep saying we are just going to leave everything behind, whoever wants to live in our house can have it :). Blessed moving! Hooray for the new washer and dryer soon to come though!
ReplyDeleteOh no! We did laundry at a laundry mat for the first year that we were married. It's a pain in the butt. Except that you can get multiple loads of laundry done all at once. That's kind of nice.
