We have been plugging away at things here and there around the house getting ready for the big move. These last four years Cody has taken up around three or four shelves of storage space in our apartment with all his notes, papers, books and lectures. He decided that everything he learned in those notes could be found online or in a book if he ever needed it again, so he went through and kept only the essentials and stuff that had to do with Orthopedics. He put the rest in a box to throw out. One box filled up so we ended up filling Tal's toy bin as well. Cody said he read through every single one of those papers at least 5 times or more in the last 4 years (Now that's a lot of heavy reading). To celebrate him being done with that portion of his life, we decided to have a burning party in our backyard. We invited a few people over to have some hotdogs, potato salad and drinks and sit around the fire pit. Cody started burning piles of papers and noticed we were accumulating way too many ashes. The ashes started flying into the air, so we recycled the majority of the notes instead of burning them. None the less, burning even a small amount made Cody very happy.
Helping Daddy get some kindling for the fire.
"Big stick mom! Big stick"
We went and played at Monkey Joe's a few days before we (Tal and I) headed out of town. Cody had a day off so they got some good bonding time before they parted for 12 days.
Talmage is fearless on these slides. Climbs up and slides down without us even helping or pushing him.
This one was really steep, so Cody fit his manly body up the narrow tunnel to help his son up.
These were actually pretty tricky little walls to climb and Talmage was sweating after climbing them about 5 or 6 times in a row. I mean really though, he isn't even 2 1/2 and he is climbing walls that the 4 and 5 year olds go on, what a stud.
A random photo that I thought was funny. Occasionally I will let Tal pick out his outfit for the day, let him be creative. He came up with this one. A hooded shirt under a jacket, sweat pants, sneakers and of course the shark hat.
The next couple posts are going to be all about the house hunt in Fresno and of course I need to update about my baby bump.

He still needed it for Dermatology, but you can guarantee it would've been in the fire too!
