All Aboard!

Erik was sick as a dog, but did not want to give up the opportunity to ride the train with his nephew.  We were going to Temple Square that night to watch the lights turn on for the first time. I've never seen it before and was very excited.  My moms house just happens to be right by a park n ride too.  Considering how much Tal loves trains we had to take it.

I love the anticipation on Tals face.

My mother and brother Erik are such great helpers.

He was so giddy and couldn't wait any longer ...

and then we saw it in the distance...

The train was coming!

Then it was here!

All aboard.

I got closed in the doors because I  got the stroller wheel stuck in the crack.  But we all made it on safely.

We unloaded from the train had some mediocre dinner first then walked over to Temple Square to wait for the lights to come on. I made sure to cover up those bald heads. It was definitely cold.

When it was dark enough only half the lights turned on and we could hear the crowd over by the reflection pond go, "ooh."  Then our lights came on and it was a little anticlimactic.   But it was still pretty.

We enjoyed walking around.

Hit up City Creek and the windows at ZCMI.

And the fountains again....starting to get a little deja vu, those nights all started to blend together.

We missed the early train back by 5 minutes and had to wait for an hour for the next one to load up to leave.  That was fun, but at least they let us sit inside the train to wait. Tal still talks about his train ride.  It was a great night once again.
