Christmas Eve and Day

Christmas Eve we skyped with family.  (These were the only pictures we got, but we got to see every member of our family on Jocelyn's side.)

Talmage opened his present from Grandpa Reid and Grandma D.

He loved it!

Steph and Doug flew in to Milwaukee and opened one gift that night.  A very special gift from Heather and Clay (Cody side). An announcement of sorts.

 Then Christmas morning Santa came.

Doug got a kindle and actually used it all week long!

Steph got a Tom Tom GPS and we practiced using it with her.  She tends to get lost a lot.  

Talmage hit the jackpot.  I'd say Santa thought he was really good this year.

He got clothes, activity FHE book and puzzles from Nana and Papa Jim.  He got a portable DVD player, games, and clothes from Nali and Grandad.  He got a kid laptop and a "big guck" (big truck) from Mommy and Daddy.  And of course some Diego underwear, wooden puzzles, books, finger paints, captain crunch cereal, gummy bears and a toy helicopter. It was a splendid morning.

We played with our toys and took naps, then had an early dinner of roast beef and other yummy carbs and veggies.  We paired it all with pomegranate, peach and pear sparkling ciders. Mmmmmm Good. 

Talmage couldn't handle so much excitement in one day and zonked out at the dinner table.  (First time ever recorded of him doing this EVER!)

After dinner we headed to Candy Cane lane in West Allis to see what the hype was all about.  It was supposed to be several blocks of fantastically lit houses.  This was one of the best ones.  Mind you, after seeing the lights at Temple Square in Salt Lake, this pales in comparison by a long shot.  It was still fun for Talmage to get out and walk around and see the lights and all the, "ho ho ho"s (Santa's).

What a good Samaritan Doug was trying to fix one of the display lights that had fallen over, now that is what Christmas is all about (and it was FREEZING outside).

Notice the puzzles on the floor all laid out.  He piles all the pieces together and does them all at the same time.

(It is kind of ironic Mom, because Cody was telling me that growing up he ALWAYS had a pair of Scooby Doo pajamas to wear.)
