We had a cold spell for only a few weeks in December, but before all that, the colors were beautiful.

and when it got cold we snuggled in our warm blankets and built a lot of fires.
The frost was pretty too. I'm not complaining about a cold spell, especially when I think of friends and family in way worse climates.
One night I bundled up the boys and went to walk Christmas Tree Lane with some friends. Cody was on-call again go figure.
Talmages ONLY request for a picture, BOLT and RACE CAR.
Talmage fell asleep in the stroller and Tristan was intrigued with the Elves.
The next day we went to the Ward Christmas party. It was really nice. They had delicious food, nice musical program and Santa Claus.
A few mornings later we went to a Moms Club Christmas party. They got a book from Santa Claus and Talmage was able to tell him that he wanted Train tracks for Christmas.
Tristan was able to tell Santa Claus to *$%# off.
But there was a slide in the backyard that Tristan found much more agreeable then Santa's breath.
We came home to find Santa's Elves (Dorf and baby Dorf) waiting for us to remind us that they are keeping an eye out for Santa Claus. They are watching our every move and will report back to Santa every night. They get back through their magical portal (Talmages Stocking). They always came back with a new message every day. Sometimes it was to keep our teeth clean and other days it was to drink more milk. One time Santa sent them home with the message to share our toys and be kind to our family and friends.
It worked great for Talmage. He would wake up excited to see where they ended up that day. Talmage knew that they reported good and bad things he did, to Santa. And Santa reported to Jesus. Jesus was the ultimate decision maker if Tal got presents, because it was Jesus' birthday after all! Santa was only in charge of throwing the "birthday party" (Christmas) for Jesus. Jesus is so kind that he lets US have gifts on HIS DAY. At least, this is my best way to get Talmage thinking about Jesus around Christmas as well as be excited about the magic of Santa.
Tristan turned 16 months in December. He has 4 teeth at this point and can say Mama, Dada and binky (pronounced ginky) and maybe a few others. Pretty much refuses to let anyone feed him, especially when eating soup and oatmeal. He weighs 24 lb 12 oz which is 75%. He is 30 1/4 inches tall which is the 30%. He is an absolute hilarious baby, keeping us all laughing. He likes to imitate everything that we do. Makes him happy when he can get us to clap, cheer or laugh at him. He's my little dancer and loves music. His laugh is the best gutteral chuckle you've ever heard. Him and Tal are best buddies and have recently started wrestling and running around together. We are definitely blessed to have this little guy in our lives.
These pictures were meant to be our Christmas card, but I never got around to it. Everytime I see them, my heart melts at how adorable they are and especially together. I love them.
Best friends. Matching Jean Jackets. Life is Bliss when laying in a pile of Leaves.
and to finish us off with my favorite laugh-out-loud picture.
