After we had Cody all settled in to his house we went to a Sushi joint where I devoured some amazing Yellowtail roll with fish eggs and the works, it was delicious! We went back to our surprisingly nice hotel and conked out. The next morning we headed to the Golden Gate Bridge. We really wanted to go for a walk on it.
So we did..
It was pretty cool..
It was windy...
and a bit chilly...
and it went on for awhile...
We decided we had gone so far already so we walked all the way across and back! With only some grapes, crackers and snack packs in our bellies.
Then on our way to Pier 39 we toured the streets a little.
There are the craziest hills in San Fransisco.
We found the famous Russian Hill and very carefully, drove down it. Cody's tires were almost smooth.
Found ourselves some free parking (wahoo!) and walked to Pier 39.
Some little people were happy to finally be eating.
We get a little crazy when we don't eat..what can I say.
I call this the straight smile face.
Me and Tal trying to imitate it..I think Tal has it down!
Back to the Hotel and the next morning we decided to DRIVE across the bridge and see the view from the other side.
Besides finding some really cool looking caterpillars.
The view was amazing.
The fog and wind took over again.
We hiked up to this historical bunker where these massively large guns were in the process of being built in response to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The project was never finished, but it was pretty neat history. I can't remember the name of the bunker of course.
I need to print and frame this next picture with one of these captions:
This was one of the rooms that was pitch black, but with help from my flash we saw the grossness and creepiness that it was...not to mention Talmage stumbled and fell in a small hole resulting in a cut up chin.
We took the scenic drive, it was beautiful.
The other half of the day was spent in China Town.
Tired little feet have to share stroller meant for one.
Thank heavens there was randomly a port-a-potty on the side of the street. Tals bladder couldn't handle being turned down by one more person, from using their restroom.
Dancing to the clickety clankety ping pang pong pretty China music that was playing from the store.
We had this guy, who has mastered writing artistic Chinese calligraphy, paint our last name. It would be our traditional memorabilia for the trip.
This dude looked cool, but did not have an ounce in him. The lamest street performer ever. Hopes were high and they were dashed.
But there was a Zoltar, yay!
Zoltar speaks;
"You have been wondering if you have spent your time wisely. A man that is young in years may be old in hours if he has lost no time. If you feel old then you know you have not wasted any time. If you feel young then do not waste the day before you now. Remember a day is a fortune and an estate. If you lose a day you lose life itself. Do not worry about the time, experience each new day. A wave which has passed cannot be called back, nor can an hour which has gone be returned. Your time will come by and by, there are great things in store for you. Swift speedy time will bring new and interesting things this month, feathered with flying hours. Be careful over the years not to let it dissolve the beauty of thy brow."
Then we visited the 'Full House' house. Anticlimatic.
Then got a real shot of where Cody would be working for the next 90 days!
It was a great trip and we miss Cody so much. Time has definitely flown by for us, I can't say the same for Cody. I can say that Zoltar called it, the next month has brought us many "new and interesting things."

I was born in San Francisco! (Well, Walnut Creek.) I love that area. It has so much personality and pep. One time we were in San Francisco and we saw a bunch of crazy looking men with chains, mohawks, tons of tattoos, black leather, rainbow hair, etc. They were holding up a sign that said, "PHOTOS WITH FREAKS, $5" Most people were avoiding them and looking the other way, but my mom didn't hesitate, and she approached them to arrange a family picture. The guys all crowded around us and posed, and it was so awkward. But now, 15 years later, that's probably our favorite family picture! It makes us laugh every time.
