Moving Right Along...

7....8.... almost 9 Months!  Where did the time go?  The last time that I posted about Talmage was when he was 6 months old.  A lot has changed since then.  The first big change is the fact that my child no longer sits in one place.  His biggest milestone from 6 to 7 months was learning how to scoot.  He finally mastered it on July 6th this year, which I found to be quite ironic considering the first time I ever felt him move in my uterus was July 6th of last year. July 6th happens to be my birthday, so it made the day that much more special as well.

Here is Talmage at 7 months and 4 days old, scooting for the first time.  This eventually turned into a full on crawl by the time he was 7 1/2 months.

Some other things he does or has learned between the months of 6 and 8 of his life are:

Holds his own bottles.
Lights... he is fascinated with them, especially at the grocery store.  He will just stare at the big florescent lights on the ceiling.
Will sit and pay attention to T.V. or movie, especially his Baby Einstein DVDs.
Can sleep for 10 or more straight hours (love this one).
LOVES peek a boo!  You don't even have to hide!  All you have to do is stop making eye contact with him for a few seconds and then quickly make eye contact and this will put him into a whirlwind of squealing.
Doesn't scare easily. He is a tough one, loud noises hardly bother him.
He developed a sort of cough laugh (sounds similar to the sound he is making in the scooting video).
Discovered his tongue and now sticks it out all the time.
My brother Erik nick-named him "Bulldog" while we were in Utah for the 5 weeks.

 I wonder why....

  2. You are welcome to squeeze whenever! It's funny because your kid is the exact opposite, especially after holding Talmage. Your kid is a TWIG! no fat, but such a little cutie himself.
